Interior Design Blog Review

In interior design, we looked at different blogs and we got to pick our top three favorites.
Interior Designers would have a blog to show their ideas and give examples. A lot of Interior Designers want to do it forever and not just a hobby so blogs are also a good way to get out into the world. One of the blogs I visited was Dear Designer. The blog showed a lot of modern furniture with vintage rooms. They have many different examples of what they create. I saw a variety of rooms they had. The one below was one of my favorites.
Another blog I was interested in was Belle Maison. It shows a very cozy and a homey feeling in the blog. I like the ceiling work and the fall colors they incorporated. Their blog has many pictures of the "not straighten" look. They actually look like homes and a not a place they just set up for a picture.
The last blog I visited was Freshome. Today, Freshome is the go-to destination for anyone who is passionate about design, architecture, luxury, travel, lifestyle, and creativity in the home. They show a lot of that in their blog.
Out of all three of my blogs I visited, my favorite was Belle Mansion. I really liked the vintage style with the pop of green color. It creates a lot of personality in one picture. One of the trends I saw were the different architecture. The second picture shows that in the ceilings and the third picture also shows that in the way the fireplace was built. Another trend would be the colors used. The colors all go together and create a calm and relaxing appearance. The top and the middle picture show an example of this.

Mood Board

Mood board

This week in interior design class we learned about creating a mood board that fits our personality. A mood board is a way to convey your design ideas. It’s used in interior design to show furniture ideas and color schemes. It’s also used for the interior designers to actually show the people what they are thinking of instead of the buyers forming a mental image. This board reflects my personality by having calm and happy colors. I love the color yellow and it’s a great color to use to add as an accent. I used the color grey because it can go with any other color you choose. The wood behind the fireplace adds some vintage in the way I design rooms. I would say I’m more into modern with a touch of vintage! The total cost of my room is $7,080. In conclusion, this board holds many items that can be removed or added to anyone’s desire, but I chose a color to fit my personality.
